Melbourne Biomimetic Dental Centre is a boutique, wellness-focused dental practice located on Collins Street in Melbourne CBD. Established for over 20 years, the practice has built a strong reputation for ethical, minimally invasive dentistry and exceptional long-term patient care.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Dental Assistant / Clinical Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis, working 4 days per week. This role combines advanced chairside assisting with clinical coordination to support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

You'll play an integral role in shaping the patient and team experience within a calm, highly organised clinical environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily clinical workflow and ensure surgeries are fully prepared and operational
- Provide chairside assistance across restorative, cosmetic, and biomimetic procedures
- Support patient comfort, communication, and treatment flow
- Maintain high sterilisation and infection control standards
- Coordinate clinical stock, materials, and inventory management
- Support onboarding, training, and day-to-day guidance of dental assistants
- Assist with implementation and refinement of clinical systems and workflows
- Identify and resolve operational issues proactively to support efficient patient care
About You:
- Minimum 5+ years dental assisting experience
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and infection control
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and leadership capability
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- High attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Experience in cosmetic, restorative, comprehensive, or biomimetic dentistry (highly regarded)
- Experience with digital x-rays, scanning, and clinical photography (desirable)
- Previous leadership or coordination experience (preferred)
