What you’ll do
- After onboarding and training, carry out field-based service, repairs, preventative maintenance and installations.
- Work on a wide range of premium dental equipment including chair units, suction systems, sterilisers, dental X-rays, RO systems, handpieces and laboratory equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults in clinical environments where safety, uptime and compliance matter.
- Complete accurate job documentation and communicate clearly with customers and the internal service team.
- Collaborate closely with the wider technical team for support, escalation and technical guidance — you’re never left on your own.
- Represent QDS professionally on-site, delivering a calm, respectful customer experience aligned to our service standards.
Training & development
This role includes both structured on-the-job training and manufacturer training. Training is delivered through Australian supplier facilities in Sydney and Melbourne, giving you exposure to current equipment, best-practice service methods, and the standards expected of leading brands.
What we’re looking for
- An experienced technician with 5+ years post-trade experience.
- Electrical trade qualification or a restricted electrical licence.
- Experience mentoring apprentices/juniors (or a willingness to support others) is highly regarded.
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career in biomedical / clinical equipment servicing.
- Strong fault-finding capability, good communication, and organised time management.
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel within South East Queensland, Darling Downs, South West Qld and Northern NSW.
