Durodent is a well-established and respected business known for our service, reliability and long-term customer relationships.
We supply dental laboratory consumables and equipment to support Denture Clinics and Dental Prosthetists across Australia.
Do you want to:
Service and support loyal, appreciative customers on the road
Learn about dental laboratory products and industry
Make a difference for our customers businesses
Patiently grow business with customers over time
Backed by:
A well-established owner-operated business
Strong internal customer service and warehouse team
Solid product range and industry-leading brands

Marketing support and established customer database
About the role
We are looking for someone to join our team and gradually take over part of the customer relationship role that has been personally managed by the business owners for many years.
This is an important and trusted long-term role within our business. When visiting customers, you will be the face of Durodent, so professionalism, reliability and genuine care for customers are essential.
This is a full-time role focused on supporting and servicing long-term customer relationships, not aggressive sales tactics.
The role is centred around regular on-road customer visits, together with structured in-office time for phone contact, administration and learning our business, product range and customer needs.
You will work closely with many of our established, loyal customers, supporting them through service, product knowledge and genuine understanding — not short-term, price-driven selling. These are long-standing relationships built over many years and highly valued.
While much of the role involves supporting existing customers, we also value the steady development of new customer relationships built on trust and credibility over time.
This role requires patience, organisation, consistency and regular follow-up rather than high-energy, fast-paced selling. Sales growth naturally comes from building trust, understanding customer needs and being reliable over time.
It suits someone who takes genuine pride in representing our business, looking after customers properly, noticing opportunities and taking initiative rather than waiting to be directed.
Developing strong product knowledge and understanding how customers use the products we supply is essential. We are looking for someone who takes pride in knowing what they are talking about and providing honest, reliable guidance.
You will be given the time, trust and autonomy to build strong relationships and do the role properly.
This position suits someone who enjoys:
Talking to customers regularly
Getting to know how they work and what matters to them
Following through on promises
Being a trusted and reliable point of contact
Being out and about visiting customers
You’ll take the time to understand:
Customer purchasing patterns
How each customer prefers to be supported
Their business needs and opportunities
Products and brands customers use
What you’ll be doing
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing dental laboratory and denture clinic customers
Identify and develop new customer relationships over time through referrals, industry awareness and proactive contact
Stay in regular contact and develop structured call and visit schedules
Visit customers across Melbourne and regional Victoria (with occasional interstate travel to key accounts)
Maintain regular contact with major interstate key accounts via phone and email
Support customers with product knowledge, technical information and solutions
Work closely with internal customer service, operations and management teams
Analyse customer purchasing trends and identify growth opportunities
Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers for product guidance
Represent the business at industry events when required
Stay informed about industry trends and new products
Work toward achievable, realistic sales goals
Maintain customer database records and contact reports
