Tassie Smiles Dental is looking for an experienced (preferred) dentist to join our growing private practice. This position offered is based on an independent contractor (SFA) model.

Located on the beautiful eastern shore of the Derwent River in Hobart, we provide general family dental care to our loyal and growing patient base. We are an ADA Accredited Dental Practice and offer quality equipment including;

  • Sirona Primescan Cerec CAD/CAD system, 
  • onsite OPG & digital radiography, 
  • onsite lab facility, 
  • rotatry endodontics 
  • and modern facilities in a pleasing atmosphere for our patients. 

We offer a broad range of general family dental & cosmetic services including;

  • Initial visit comprehensive consultations,
  • Period recalls,
  • Composite restorations,
  • Endodontics,
  • Veneers,
  • Crown & Bridge,
  • Implant Placement and
  • Invisalign.

Note: We do not offer Amalgam restorations material and applicants comfortable with composites in all areas.

The practice only have select preferred provider arrangements with two health funds; CBHS, HCF. We also offer Medicare CDBS as well as DVA billing facilities.

The successful applicant should have;

  • Excellent chair-side, oral, written and non-verbal communication skills. 
  • Be proficient in English. 
  • Have the ability to convey and motivate comprehensive treatment plans. 
  • Outstanding technical, diagnostic and surgical skills are also highly valued.
  • A gentle, empathetic nature and the ability to comfortably treat all ages is extremely important. 
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to grow the business through best practices, dedication and loyalty are essential. 
  • An awareness of our corporate culture and be a comfortable fit into our team.

The applicant will be expected to achieve CPD benchmarks in-line with the ADA guidelines and hold current APHRA registration as well as have suitable Personal Indemnity Insurance in place.

  • A relocation allowance may be negotiated based on the applicants current location.

The incumbent should hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
